I have discovered the cutest plum suede Coach purse (its from the legacy collection...mandy signature), and it is usually $800. I have never spent this much on a purse, I usually buy cheap ones and then toss them when they start to break down. This is a very high quality purse, hand stitched suede leather and brass...is it worth it?

i just checked the bag out on the site... I think it's a good deal since it is a classic looking style... however I didn't see it in plum suede on the site... but it sounds like a nice color.
I LOVE coach bags and I just got one for 65% off (400 reduced to 140!) so I know how great it is when you find a deal like that! now us also said its signature so that's with the big c's on it... just make sure you wont get tired of the design on it if you are overly concerned about the expense because that has deterred me from purchasing a few of their bags.
Other than that coach is a well made product and are usually classic styles. I say get it and enjoy!

Coach purses are made really well and they last for a long time. For a long while, I was against spending $100+ for a purse, but I ended up buying 2 Coach bags at a Coach outlet and found it to be well-worth my while. That was 3 years ago and I have purchased 3 other Coach bags since then. I alternate between all of them. Although, I must say that I've never spent over $300 on a Coach bag. In the end, it's up to you and how often you will use your bag and how long you intend to keep it. If you keep the purse in good condition, it can last you for a long time and you'll get your money's worth. If you take care of your Coach bag, you shouldn't have to replace it any time soon and you'll end up actually saving money since you aren't going out to replace it every 6 months or so. Also take into account whether or not you can afford it. You don't want to buy the purse but be too broke to have any money in it!

I always loved Coach bags because they're designed for everyday use and last for what seems forever. I would say that the bag is worth it only if you know that you'll use it for years to come, that it matches well with the majority of your outfits, and that you'll invest care into the bag to insure that it stays looking brand new for as long as possible. Another factor to think about is whether or not you truly have the money to spend on the bag. $450 is a lot of money, and if you have bills lying around that need to be paid or kids that are bound to go off to college someday, then maybe that $450 has a better place to be. In the end, it's your choice, though. If you get the bag, enjoy it!

Coming from someone who absolutely loves Coach purses, I would say yes, if you can afford it. If you aren't going to go into debt because you bought it, the go for it. Coach IS a very good quality purse, so if you aren't going to grow tired of it, then it is worth the money since it will last longer than all of those cheap purses combined.

I know a lot of people with Coach purses and they absolutely love them. They all say they last a really long time. If you keep having to buy new purses because they arent holding up, then i would go with these purses, they last so long, and you wouldnt have to keep buying new one. Also with these purses you have to be very gentle with them, so no throwing them on the dirty floor or sticking unwrapped candy in them. So if you think you can take care of the purse nicely then i think it would be a great buy for you.

Good luck!

I can find nice purses that were previously used for as low as 49 cents and up to 5 bucks at the local thrift stores. the purse that costs 450 would have to have 24k gold embellishments.

A purse is never worth 450. For me a purse is never worth $50.00. I can't stand carrying a purse, mine is just big enough to hold a small wallet, a pen & car keys.
