the reason we [aid this loan back is because we are not dependent on anyone, sub servent or otherwise...we went our own way for much of the war as the only democratic country that stood out against injustice and bigotry.

I suspect that the support the USA is given now is based upon the finance they pumped in after the end of WWII. That would be wrong but why else do we act as lap dogs for them? They helped re-build large parts of Europe after the War as they had plenty of cash, this could be because they didn't spend that much on the War effort as they weren't involved for that long.
