Fish problem?

Question

One of my goldfish is acting really wierd. It's on it's tummy like what dead fishes are flipped upside down. But it is still alive, you can see it moving backwards(slowly) it also tries to flip back unsuccessfully. Something is wrong and i really need help on what is wrong with my goldfish.

Practically it is my mom's fish and i don't know what she will do if she finds out. Big time trouble!!!!

Oh Dear! This maybe something that was out of your control. This sounds like it could be a swim Bladder Problem.

So it's doing a backstroke? Might be a swimbladder problem, goldfish get those.
I seem to remember someone saying feeding fresh or thawed frozen peas helps because they help remove the blockage of waste that's pressing against their swim bladder. Try not feeding anything but the peas for a few days, other foods will only cause more problems. I'd also do a partial water change, since these guys poo so much. I hope this helps!

The fish has a swim bladder disorder,it may survive,it may not. The problem is most likely lack of clean water,a proper water change is probably what's needed. PeeTee

I would say that your fish is dieing. and you isn't do anything wrong so you wouldn't be in trouble. goldfish have really short lives.

if you only have 1 fish i would clean the tank try to feed it and it that does not fix it it is probly going to die. goldfish can pretty much handle anything. but when they r going to die they just die

It's going to die soon. Fish don't live long and don't cost much, i'm sure mom will be fine
