These two cars aren't even really comparable. The Honda Si is a little more money but more car. The Civic Si really is comparable to the Acura RSX and will be faster and have better handling. The Scion is going to get better fuel economy and have a lower price tag. Both will have high reliability and last a long time.

The tC isn't a bad car, it's one of the best well equip'd cars on the market for it's price. But to compare that to an SI isn't fair. My wife bought an '07 tC and I think it's a pretty swift car.
BUT, I'm a die hard Civic fan and will always back a nice SI. I'm even eyeing the 4-door release.
BTW, take a look at the Mugen-ized 4 door SI. One word dude; sick

my brother has a scion tc which really is a nice car it has alot of space but the honda si really is faster an i like the sound of power an it being faster but if your sister is picky (which I wouldnt be if I were getting a free car expecially from my brother) i wouldnt care if it came in ugly green an it was a civic si but I have to say we girls are picky about color an the way a car looks so she might have that look that she wants a car to be like

In terms of stock vs stock, the Civic Si hands down is the better car. fist things first, the TC is a great car for the price 16k as the Si costs about 22k, but the Si has way better suspension, bigger brakes, higher reving more horsepower (did you know the TC's engine is the same as the 4cylinder toyota camry? hardly sporty) And has much nicer interior (nice seat bolsters). In terms of aftermarket support, the scion tC has recieved a lot of love, greddy just made a sick turbo kit for it, but the civic is worshipped like a god in terms of aftermarket support. just my 2 cents, can't go wrong with either car.

Well its unfair to compare the two. The scion is only 16k and the Si is 21K. With the supercharger the tc is comparable to the Si. I prefer the TC for the 2.4L and the higher torque. Also, I own a turbo'd tc making 270hp at the wheels. It's very reliable and fun to drive.

either is fine since they r both made by the best companys out there. Scion is toyota which is now the biggest car company in the world and the civic has been around forever with Honda. Both are very reliable brands that will outlast any american made car.

I would get the SI because hondas are great cars and very reliable. The Civic also has tons of opptions for aftermarket performance and visual upgrades. Either car is good but get what you want, I think you would be very happy with either car, especially the Civic.

Depends on what you like. I prefer the Si to the TC, cant go wrong with a honda as far as aftermarket support.
