I first of all have my own beliefs, which cannot be changed. I just want to know if other people believe if demons are real or not.

In case you were wondering, I do believe that demons are real. The bible tells me so, and that's why I believe they are.

Thanks for all your input, and keep the answers comming! Like I said, I really would like to see what others believe!

I too believe demons exist, because of the Bible.
However I don't think they interfere as much as some people think. They may cause some trouble but when Christ ascended Satan's power was greatly diminished.
And I don't think Christians can be possessed...they're supposed to have the Holy Spirit within, so why would a demon want to be anywhere near *that*? It would kill them, probably. Think Raiders of the Lost Ark *bursts into maniacal laughter*
Just my basic beliefs.

I know this is not what you asked but...Ghost are demons, demons can take any form, I do not think a God, being almighty would, let the dead hang around, even if they had unfinished business to attend to. Demons are fallen angels and have the same power as Angels do. They like to inhabit places were a traumatic event took place. This is called a territorial stronghold. Usually called hauntings. "Stronghold" Greek strong's fortress, or prison-fortified place. 2 Cor 10:3-5. Remember the story of the Gergesene Demoniacs in Matt 8:28-34. (Mark 5:1-20, Luke 8:26-39) If you’re not religious, you may want to read it. This territory had a stronghold of demons over it, not to mention one man (Personal stronghold-possession) who had a legion of demons in him. Mark 5:9. Jesus freed the man, and in so doing freed the territory of its stronghold/haunting. When the demons went into the swine, the demons did not like the swine, so they drown the swine, this also killed the pigs that the Pagan worshippers used to sacrifice to their God's and killed that business off as well. Jesus healed the land and killed the Pagan worshipping (they used the pigs to sacrifice for food for their god’s) business for a time. My point is, demons are Ghosts and dead people are not.

I think we all face our own demons, I think the demons people see or have our real for them. I have faced what I believe are demons in my past, and even though some demons are worse than others I still have demons but these are not as strong as my past ones.

I believe in demons, yes, but not the "conventional" christian concept.

I believe they are entities, far older than Christianity could ever dream of being, and would hurt us if they could. But they can't, not without a willing human accomplice.

I also believe in the kinds of demons Jesus drove out of people in the bible. The kind that enter the mind and sow the seeds of madness.

But I don't believe that there's any kind of devil sitting around commanding them. And if there ever WAS a Satan, us humans have taken over his job by now I assure you.

It's really sad to see so many people use the bible a hard fact. It's a work of fiction with some nice stories and living your life by those stories can make you a better person. The word for believing things that have no basis in reality is: delusional.

I do believe Demons are real. But you can't believe everything the Bible tells you.

When Lucifer became Satan he took 1/3 of the angels of heaven with him. These are the demons of which you speak. Revelation 12:4 & 20:2 and Isaiah 14:12-15

If your beliefs cannot be changed, you are dead, so why ask a question?

Draw a circle. Let it be the mind/body boundary. Let the outside be body. It extends indefinitely outward in all directions. Out there are living things like wolves and tigers that are more than willing to eat you. Let the inside be mind. It extends indefinely inward in all directions. In there (for the sake of symmetry) why should there not also be living things (like demons) that are more than willing to eat you? Haven't we all seen people who are being destroyed by their mental state, by their beliefs and the behavior that leads to?

Demons are very real...you could have seen one and not even known. They are among us. The Watchers are still here.
