"Que sera, sera" is generally understood in the English-speaking world to mean "what(ever) will be, will be", similar to Shakespeare's "come what come may". This popular usage comes from the title of a song from the film, "The Barefoot Contessa", written by Ray Evans and Jay Livingston and sung by Doris Day.
The truth, however, is that, as it is written in the song title, the phrase means nothing in any language. The closest in Italian would be "Che sarà, sarà", whereas in Spanish it would be spelled "Qué será, será".

Just what the song says.. What will be, will be.
When I was just a little girl
I asked my mother, what will I be
Will I be pretty, will I be rich
Here's what she said to me.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
When I was young, I fell in love
I asked my sweetheart what lies ahead
Will we have rainbows, day after day
Here's what my sweetheart said.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.
Now I have children of my own
They ask their mother, what will I be
Will I be handsome, will I be rich
I tell them tenderly.
Que Sera, Sera,
Whatever will be, will be
The future's not ours, to see
Que Sera, Sera
What will be, will be.

The moving finger writes and having written, moves on. Not all your piety nor wit shall lure it back to cancel half a line, nor all your tears wash out a word of it.

In Spanish and possibly also in Italian it means " What will be, will be. " It is also a song made famous by American songstress Doris Day in the 1950s.
