a good age for vocal lessons and why? what to expect?

I always thought a good age for vocal lessons was about 8 or 9. I was always told to take them young so that they can at least learn if it is right for them. Like learning their pitch, sight reading, notes, etc. For me, younger the better because they can either start playing an instrument or keep singing if it something they like and are willing to practice.

Any age! Expect a lot of learning. They are totally worth it. So many people really don't know how to sing even if they have talent. I love singing! Just check my screen name. ^_^
