I built a PC last summer, but I don't really need it anymore. Looking to sell it, probably on craigslist.com. Here's the specs:
----------------------------------------
Intel Pentium D 930 3.0ghz
ECS P4M800PRO-M mobo
CD-RW/DVD drive
512MB Mushkin PC3200 RAM
ATI 9550 256MB graphics card
40gb Hard Drive
Coolermaster Centurion 540 Case w/ 430W PS and 2 case fans
Microsoft Wireless Keyboard + Mouse
Windows Media Center Edition

I would guess around $300-$400, maybe a little less. Unfortunately, the 40GB hard drive is pretty small for most people, and a CD-RW/DVD combo instead of a DVD burner will bring the price down. However, I certainly think it is worth more than $100 and probably more than $250. The Pentium D 930 alone is worth $100... Good luck on your sale!

Lets see, I build custom computers for our business (CooksonComputers) so ill give a little summary here.

the processor is worth about 150 ~ 250 Bucks

(basing it off of the rest of the specs)The "Mobo" is worth 50 ~ 100 bucks

The DVD/CD-ROM combo drive is worth about 15 ~ 25 bucks

The memory is worth about 45 ~75 bucks

The video card is worth about 50 ~ 100 bucks

The HDD (Hard Disk Drive) is worth about 20 bucks give or take 5

I have not seen the case but depending on the case it can range from 20 <~> 70 bucks

the keyboard mouse combo would be worth around 20 bucks

and finally the media center edition would most likely be worth 40 ~ 90 bucks

Now this is what i have been seeing similar items selling on ebay for. Now i am not saying that that is exactly what you will get out of it but it is a ballpark.

(Now i would give you $20 for the mobo, memory, and CPU, but i know you won't take that, : ] and I don't blame you)

Finally i recommend selling it on ebay. let me know when you do and i will let people know that might be interested in it and hopefully you can get some mroe $$$ out of it.

*Maybe* $50. A 40 gig HD isn't anything anymore. And I use Linux, not Windoze, so the OS would be nothing to me. What makes it attractive would be the processor. I bought a Pentium 3 machine this year for less than $25.

You should sell it for about $300. No more than that because people now a days won't go out to look for a computer to buy on the internet thats really expensive.

If it is over 18 months old the hard drive is worth about $25.00, the monitor $5.00, mouse and keyboard $10.00, maybe add $5.00 if it has some programs loaded on it.

Depends on the buyer, to me it's worth nothing (I'll give you a hundred bucks for it), but to someone who wants a computer like that, used, maybe 600?

The only parts worth anything are the chip and video card.

The best idea for you would be to either put it on eBay and let people bid on it, maybe put a reserve on it, or take it apart and sell the parts separately.
