Sadly enough, many people here are as barbarian as Saddam Hussein himself...

(I particularly think of those wishing he was tortured)

O.K. he committed awful crimes (with the help of our political leaders), but he was condemned in alleged reprisal against people who tried to kill him, not for the killing of Kurds etc... and this trial will never happen.

What he did could not be considered to be a mistake...he should be locked away for the remainder of his life, not put to death, as he will become a martyr for some, and that will cause a lot of problems.

Right, and maybe we could re-write the history books, so that Hitler was a hero, and Attilla the Hun could be sainted.

Give me a break.

He is just the first one, his son should be hung, and many of his cronies. And of course we must remember Osama Bin Laden.

NO! this man was an evil dictator, and murdered millions of his OWN ppl, I don't see how anyone who committs a crime like that deserves to live. But god created him so I guess he deserves a chance to accept Jesus christ into his heart because all people inculing Saddam and me and you are sinners and we all need Jesus Christ or well go to hell when we die. So Saddam deserves a chance to hear about salvation through Jesus Christ before he dies so he doesn't go to hell when he dies.

God bless

he did not make a mistake, you can't compare what he has done to a forgivable mistake. he killed hundreds of innocent people. If he killed someone you loved would you want him to be free?

Mixed emotions/feelings on this question. Part of me says YES and part of me says NO. What ever happened to Osama Bin Laden? I think we should have been actively seeking him out. Strange how things end up.

ummmmm.....NO. Do you know how much pain he has caused....how many lives he has taken or had taken? I dont think anyone will truly ever know the negative impact he has had on the world as a whole. I believe he deserves to be tortured....he is lucky he is only being hung! I can't wait....counting down!

I don't think that Sadam Hussein thinks he made any mistakes. He is a criminal but he doesn't think so.
