1. 1995, 1998, 2000, 2002 -XP, XP Home, Office versions of 2002... (and there's more- but I'm not really that into it).

Dude, I just read about this stuff and I still don't know nor can I really answer the question. I just use what came with my trusty little noteback... and it works fine!
