Go to the Disney Store so that you can avoid the lines at the ticket counter.

Also, it is first come first served once you arrive at the park. This means that if you arrive too late on new years eve -- you will be locked out of the park once it reaches capacity. However, there are no "special" tickets you must buy for New Year's Eve, just a regular ticket will do.

My advice is to go to the Disney Store TODAY at the local mall and buy your tickets. Then plan at being at Disneyland no later than 8:00 AM (this is when the park officially opens).

By about as early as 9:00 AM on this day (especially with the good weather this year), you could find the park filled to capacity and being stuck with having to go to DCA instead.

Since you are local try any Vons/Pavillions they sell them as long as they are not out of stock. You can also try the Disney Store but they probably only sell Multi-Day Tickets.

Do not buy them from Internet places such as eBay a lot of these are either expired or used and it is not worth any savings you may have to take the chance.

If you want to go New Years Eve just get there early the ticket booths open up at 7:30am. This year it is on a Sunday and supposed to be a nice day so it will be very busy. However, if they do stop sales it could happen anytime but if you are there by 10am or so you should be okay.

Just be aware that even if you do have a ticket you may not be able to get in if they are at capacity so again get there as early as possible.

You can also buy Disneyland tickets at Costco & also at any Disney Store (which are located in many shopping malls in So. Calif.)

You will get a slight discount at Costco (membership store).

Nowhere, Disneyland(world, etc...) all have such a great demand they don't need to sell at a discount to distributors. I live in Orlando and the only place to get Disney World tix are from Disney World.

On the website and eBay. You can also try the newspaper but I'm not sure if they'd have them. Good luck
