i think that seems to be right on the money. i always feel like im imposing on someone when asking for advice, as if im burdening them with me. but all too often those people seem more than willing to help. and to my delight i am proven wrong.

Whether or not I hesitate to ask for help depends on what kind of help I ask for and of who I ask the help of. Sometimes, it can and does feel like an imposition, but then again, some people I'm family of and/or friends with, have established with me an 'Ask me anything' agreement.

Yes, I do. I was brought up that way & it has carried over into my adult years, but I am slowly learning to ask for help if I need it & that's a really wonderful feeling when the person you ask makes it seem like there is no imposition & that they are happy to lend assistance.

Yes, I can ask but as soon as it seems like an imposition I back down.

No. Most things I can do without others help, so I tend not to ask for unnecessary help. When I do ask for help it's because I need it, so I don't hesitate to ask but am always considerate in the asking.

For me it does, but only if I'm asking close friends or family for something I think I desperately need, no matter what it might be. I'm perfectly fine asking a stranger for directions or asking where the bathroom is in a restaurant, but asking people close to me for help is really hard....it always has been.

Yes, but I am getting better since I married a generous man. It is a fear thing and also being a middle child, wanting to not be a burden contributes to it, too. Also, you tend to loose 5 points.
