Is this a solid friendship?

me and my friend have an interesting connection.
we seem to have similiar interests..yet our chemical connection is weird.
you know how it is with some people that you can just relate really easily from the get go and start joking and everything really easy?
well, with this guy, it seems the more we share traits, the closer we become only.
but it seems from my standpoint, I can turn that chemical connection on and off.
like it's there, but it seems very hidden most of the time until I let it be discovered.
I am kinda hesitant to become friends with him because it kinda seems that I am really myself, we won't get along as well.
so I tried really being myself, and we seem to have more unique qualities..more truer qualaties that we can relate to.
like the kind of things that are very unique and only found in some people.
he might leave soon..maybe thats it..but why is that connection so easily able to turn off when others its undenaible?
any help would be great.

well, he usted to be a drunk and everything..but he he isn't now. hes reformed and all christian like.
I guess I wish he wasn't so christian and was able to drink too.
like if he wasn't such a junkie,drunk,etc that would have been great.
you know?
like if he never did any of the those things, but just drinks,etc.
that would be great.
he said don't censor yourself b/c of me,but I just feel like I have to in some minor way.
plus, yea he has all of my bad a weird qualaties...but those weird ones are the ones that i liked only being mine kinda..but it was kinda anooying not having anyone like that.

Maybe he gives off some kind of weird vibe...is there something about him that concerns you, but haven't admitted to yourself yet?

Then, there's the belief that our closest friends are there because they are reflections of our own personalities. Do you see something in him that you don't like about yourself?
