I got off the pill almost a year ago. Since then my cycles have not been normal, some three months long. I don't think I'm ovulating. The doctor said it can take more than a year for your body to go back to normal. Which is kind of discouraging, and had I known about it sooner I would have got off the pill sooner. But then some girls conceive like the week after they get off the pill. Besides that, not much changed when I got off the pill. I did go up one bra size.

Well, you will experience horomonal differences, such as mood swings. You'll also have a difficult time regulating your cycle...it usually goes back to the way it was before you started taking the pill, but it often takes months to go back to that. Your first few times bleeding may not be true periods, but could be just your uterus shedding it's lining...when I went off I didn't actually ovulate for a few months after and it took several for me to have a normal cycle once more. It really depends on your body and how long you have been relying on the pill for your cycle. Any time you change your body's natural horomones you can expect some degree of side effects, but they should go away naturally with time.

My sister and I were actually just talking about this the other day. She just recently stopped taking it (because she and her husband are planning on having babies soon) and she is complaining that her cycle is very irregular, she has been more tired than usual and is very moody/emotional. I don't know if this is the norm or not (as every woman is different)... but that's what she said she's been experiencing for the past 2 months.

Your cycle may become irregular, it may be difficult to convceive until your body adjusts to the change.

...you might get pregnant...

Seriously though, you might bleed really hard for about a week a couple days after you quit.
