I beleive in being content as a christian. But everyone it seems wants more and more materially. God has blessed my husband and I but I never prayed to God for more money only to manage better what He has already given us. Why is it for some people that too much is never enough? There seems to be so much pressure on young people to spen spend spend and get more and more you are almost looked on as an odd ball if you dont own your own home nowadays. People just seem never to be happy or sastified with what they have and infaltion is so high that BOTH spouses have to go to work just to live.
Why cant people just be happy and greateful for which God gives them? I just thought I would ask.

They have not been taught to count their blessings. We live in a society that seeks to fill the emptiness with things(which will never be enough to fill the place that belongs to God). They will never be content with what they have until the learn to appreciate it and give thanks for it.
