I know, everyday we're hearing about the new scandal Paris has commited or the new wrong that Britney's done. It's so stupid, knowing that even the smartest people are involved in this pathetic tangle. I mean, celebrities aren't celebrities for any one reason and they should be spoken about, but not overglorified as you've just said! I agree with you completely.

I have noticed, and I agree that we overglorify them, but it's a job for some people. Like People magazine employs thousands, and the magazine basically covers celebs. If we didn't overglorify them like we do, then thousands would be without work. I guess the could do something else, but... I guess I'm saying that overglorifying celebs has become a sort of way of life, and it'll be damn hard to change that.

My point exactly!! Since when is it breaking news when a celeb divorces someone? I tell you, this celeb fascination has gotten way out of hand and people need to wake up and realize:
1) Celebs don't care about us
2) If you know more about celeb gossip then what's going on in the world, you truly are an idiot and need to be smacked
3) It's all a waste of money. You're just making celebs richer while your so call life is meaningless
4) Do you really understand what life "truly" is about? What is your purpose, dreams, goals, etc.

Very true...Im a teenager who knows the 411 and all lat' on celebz and fashion and what not....alot of kids, teenagers, and some adults do "glorify" these ppl way too much and I personally dont glorify anyone accept my one and only god.

Yes, I do. Sports celebrities also. And the media loves it when they run afoul of the law, breakup with their spouse, etc. It really is boring.
