Charlie, Everybody wants good relationships. If you want to begin a relationship with a girl, ask he out on a date. Movies, shows, plays, events, bike rides, roller blading, a hike in the mountains, anything that interests you. If she isn't interested in what interests you, find someone who has similar interests. Looks aren't as important as other qualities when it comes to forming relationships. Go for compatibility, similarity of interests, outlooks, hobbies, sports, etc. And remember, you will probably date many women before finding one who you really like...and you will probably really like many before deciding to settle down. Have fun, they (women) want to do the same things you want to do.

I used to be really shy and not know how to flirt (none the less tell if someone was flirting with me) and my main conflict was a low self esteem. I lacked confidence so when guys would flirt with me I always thought that they couldn't possibly like me and I didn't ever flirt back. I have learned over the years though that confidence is the big secret. Lots of girls have self confidence problems, some of us have it for a long time and never grow out of it others it's just a phase. It is really hard to overcome but you MUST. Looks don't matter, being clever doesn't matter, commonalities don't matter CONFIDENCE is key. If you just consistently remind yourself these three things that all women should keep in mind- hips+****+lips=power. Be confident in all that makes you a woman and know that you are desirable. Some guys have different tastes and don't let that get you down- you have plenty of others to choose from, take it from Beyonce- you could have another one in a minute. Meeting the right guy takes a while and rejection is inevitable but in the end it always works out. Plus it's worth it because you don't want a guy who doesn't like you for who you are in all ways.
I'm sorry I notice a lot of people are referring to you as Charlie, so are you charlie or charie? Boy or Girl? That is important for advice. The confidence thing is still the same but the other stuff/ exchange he for her and so on...

Perhaps you aren't ready to date, if you know nothing about dates...you should have picked something up just via observation...
