I have gymnastics conditioning every day for about 3-4 hours.Normally it is for about 2 hours. Our coach makes us.It has only been 9 days extra conditioning, and my stomach feels like it is ripping in two when I sit up or anything.I also have meets, and normal practice in between. We run an average of 2.7 miles too(to strengthen our legs and endurance) Our coach says we should be sore, it means we are working.
I have Lax conditioning at night(gymnastics is in the morning) but that is not as bad.I also go swimming a few times a week.
What can I do?? I don't mind the pain( I broke my wrist once during a meet and continued competing with it) but my b/f is worried.
Is my b/f right to be worried?? It makes me mad when he is so concerned about me. I would rather have him worry for himself.
He thinks I am over-working myself.
I eat really healthy. I am a vegetarian so my mom stocks our house with tons of healthy food.
What worries him so much??Does it mean he cares??

He thinks I am working too hard. I am a little worn out, but I am not a quitter.
Is he right??
He says he loves me and cares. He says he doesn't mind he fact that I am tired and all, but he doesn't want me to get mono(my friend got it from over-training last year)

He comes to all my meets and I see him after my conditioning and practice. We spend almost all of sunday(my day off) together with friends.
I guess I am worried when he crashes his motorbike.

I like the fact that he cares and so should you. You should worry if he DIDN'T care.
I side with your boyfriend. Soreness does mean you are working the body. But soreness means you are overworking the body.
At the same time, he might be concerned where you have time to fit him, family and even time to yourself into your busy athletic schedule.
You can be determined, stubborn and have great goals, but you also have to realize those can also be bad traits if over used with out concern.
Don't hate the fact he is so concerned. He wants you to be healthy and stay healthy. Letting him know you are annoyed with it can actually make him turn off from you on it. Enjoy it as not many girls now a days have a boyfriend who expresses their concerns.
I would relax some and not push your body. You might say you feel good now; but wait until you are around 40 to 45 when your joints begin to get tight/stiff and you gain arthritis or bone problems.

It is normal for him to be worried about you. You are working your body really hard but your boyfriend needs to understand that being in Gymnastics and taking it seriously, it is a lot of hard work. I do believe you shouldn't have workouts and practice at night. That should be your time to rest.
I would stop doing the Lax conditioning at night to give your body the much deserved rest it needs.
Other than that, to be good at gymnastics, you need to push yourself and do a lot of practicing.
And to your other question, yes, it does mean he cares. It shows he cares a lot about you because he is concerned about your well being.

Okay. Yes, your boyfriend cares. I'm sure he does.
But he has a point. Pain is the body's way of saying "Hey, stop doing that!!". So, when one feels pain it is best to step back and find out why.
In your case, with all your activities, and busy-ness throughout the week, you could have developed an ulcer. The other possibility is a torn or pulled muscle.
It is time to go see your doctor and tell him about the pain you feel. You may need to rest for a while or change your warm-up routine before you begin your training sessions. You may also need to add something more to your diet like milk or something with calcium for your muscles. All in all, it is time to go to the doctor!

Honey you should be HAPPY he cares. He TRULY loves you than. But, on one hand you need to know when to quit. Sometimes you need to say I MAY be quitting but would I rather get a bad ingury and never be able to be in Gymnastics again or be in the hospital? Mabey you should cut back a little. Talk to your coach about it. You may feel fine for years but as you get older you will have problems with your health!

if anybody really cares for you they will be worried. He may think you are being selfish for not caring about his feelings.
