I have not been able to connect to the internet for many hours now. It was working last night. My computer says that there is no network adapter on it. All of my cables are connected properly, I am using a Windows XP computer with no wireless just a cable modem. I tried having the computer search for hardware but it says there is nothing new. I went to the device manager but there is no network adapter. Not sure what is going on

unplug the cable from the card, take the card out that is if it is a pci card, and reboot the system. then shut down replace the card re boot
if it comes up found new hard ware ok it will find the driver for it.
