umm....no. It was almost anti-climatic though. After all this time, its just kind of like, "huh its over"?. I think we need that kind of speedy execution here in the US though. They had 30 days, said why bother, line them up, we'll do 3 at once, lol.

Anyone who is NOT feeling sorry for Saddam is totally wrong. Imean just imagine how US started it all. It gave Saddam the chair, the weapons, and the money to fight Iran back in the eighties. The thing that US didn't realize but later is that you can't control a beast even if you made it.
When that beast finished his job of fighting Iran, he did what all other beasts would do: Find another fight...
That was when he invaded Kuwait and Saudi Arabia in 1991...
It's all America's fault. This should teach you a lesson:
WHEN YOU GROW A BEAST, IT WILL BITE YOU SOONER OR LATER.
Thanks..

The compassionate side of me does, but I also believe that you should treat people how you wish to be treated. He chose to kill, torture, and intimidate thousands so he this is justice being served. One thing I've learned in my life is that if you choose to treat people poorly, it will eventually come back on you. This is just another example to prove my point. I feel like singing, Ding Dong the Wicked Witch(Saddam) is almost dead." haha Hope everyone has a GREAT NEW YEAR!!!

I feel sorry that in the year 2006 (7 really) we haven't evolved enough as a society to be beyond this.
Don't get me wrong, he has it coming to him but you'd think as thousands of years have gone by that humanity as a whole would be so much better than this.

I'm not feeling sorry for him, but I think he could have waited until after we had gotten Osama squared away, if indeed Bush ever had planned to do so.
For those who feel sorry for him, his own people tried and convicted him; that's more fitting than the Hague.

I don't think I feel sorry for him but the whole execution thing makes me a bit conflicted, I'm not against the death penalty but I'm not a huge fan of it.

I wouldn't say that I feel sorry for him (after all he is a very evil man), however, I do feel that it is not our business to dispose of him. I fear that when he is executed we will all be forced to pay a terrible price for interfering in that country"s politics.

I would feel sorry for any human being that took this road in life. I do hope he asks God for forgiveness before he goes on.
