my sons girlfriend was caught giving clothes away to her friends at penny's and only charging them for 1 thing. they charged her w/ theft and now she thinks she will never be able to get a job. she is only 20 and very depressed and scared to look for a job. what should she do? are there any organizations out there to help people after a crime?

If it's a misdemeanor, it will be difficult with the charge of theft. A felony, forget it. Any company with common sense is not going to allow someone around their merchandise and cash with someone that cannot be trusted. Even being a grocery stocker will be difficult as she still has access to their merchandise.

She could get an office job through a temp agency. She will be asked about the criminal charge. She has to just explain she was stupid and made a mistake.

I hope she learned something and got her head out of her a s s! Did her friends think she was cool when she was arrested?
