Probably not. One concern is why someone would be taking so much opioids over such a long period. Sometimes people self-medicate for anxiety and depression using opioids. Stress is a well-known cause of amenorrhea. Furthermore, Vicodin contains Tylenol, which in high doses can cause liver failure. Please make sure that you are not accidentally overdosing yourself on Tylenol. If you are concerned about amenorrhea, a good place to start would be with a gynecologist.

As a former college professor of addiction studies, I can state that this is not generally a side effect of Vicodin or other opiate analgesics. However, with serious addiction and very heavy use it may occur.

Any chemical change in the body can affect menstruation. So can stress.
