This is a question based on true story. I recently saw a movie based on true story of Brook Ellison. Brook Ellison is a woman who has been paralyzed from neck down since 11 and have been living on wheelchair every day.
Despite such terrible obstacles, she went on to graduate from Harvard University and become a great , inspirational person who contributes to society.
She is truly one of the most inspirational people I have seen in my life. Her life truly made me move deeply and not take things for granted.
I pose this Q to everyone to hear what you guys think.
How would you live every day if you were paralyzed from neck down since 11? Meaning, you would need help to move, to take shower, to eat, even in bathroom.
There is no right or wrong answer. I just would like to hear candid, honest answer. Thanks in advance for any insights.

I'd end my life, some would see that as a can do obstacle but to me living that way of life is just not living at all.

The fact is, we cannot answer this question. Only those who have to wake up every day and face the situation can. We cannot even begin to understand what must go through the mind of someone who has lost the ability to move. This is something you could not do alone. You would need the constant love of some very strong at heart people. You'd find out pretty quick who your real friends and family were.

I think it would definitely weed out the weak from the strong. The strong would survive and would know instinctively to go within for survival and to depend on their intellect and psyche and their inner being or spirit or soul for survival. I think it would be a much bigger challenge to know physicality and then lose it, as opposed to having never known it personally. It would simply be a different way of living, not lesser.

Wouldn't that be the hardest thing ever to do ?
I truly feel bad for these people because I would just want to die.

I guess to get threw such a thing one would really have to have a strong relationship with God.
God would be the only way I could live threw it .

God Bless and have a "safe" and
HAPPY NEW YEAR !

That relies upon on even if I had a strong help device. i imagine human beings like that shine even as they have human beings of their lives that help with more suitable than merely searching after them. So, if i change into like that and had someone like my 0.5 brother helping me then sure, i might want to do what ever i might want to to be the perfect i might want to. As a aspect note, my 0.5 brother spent ten years of his existence being concerned for his mom 24/7. She change into an complete invalid and couldn't communicate for further or less six of those years. i'm so, awed by his dedication. he's quite the perfect human being I easily have ever favourite.

I've already experienced more than enough pain (mostly emotional) in my 41 yrs, if I became paralyzed from the neck down I'd let myself die, wouldn't eat, wouldn't cooperate with medical professionals etc.

Personally, I would be really depressed, but I guess I would find something to do that will make my life more enjoyable.
