Depends on how young and on what time they are used to going to bed. If their body is used to being in bed by 8:00, then they might have trouble staying focused. If their bed time is 9:00, then they may not have too much trouble and it could actually help them wind down and get to sleep quicker.
I have taught classes as late as 8:00 - 9:00 for my more advanced high schoolers. But I usually try to get all my younger classes done by 7:30 or so out of respect for family's bedtimes. I have 3 kids of my own and understand the need to keep a good nightly schedule.
Ask if there is a different time for the class you are looking for, maybe there is an alternative class that would work for you?

well not really. most children need a good night sleep. I have been dancing for 8 years now. my classes times have changed when i grow up. i used to start at 4pm-5pm. now i am doing 8-9pm. i am 15 and started dancing at the age of 7.
it also depends on the age of the child. So eg.
If the child is between 3-5 then early afternoon sessions are recommended. (3-4, 4-5)
If the child is between 5-7 then late afternoon sessions are recommened. (4-5,5-6)
If the child is between 7-11 then late afternoon sessions also recommended. (5-6,6-7)
If the child is between 11-15 then night sessions would be the best go. (6-7 or 7-8)
Thats my advice.

What age is the child? It could be if it's an older child, (not sure about 8:40pm though), but definitely not good for a young child.

you may tension him to ballet type through day and characteristic your husband take him to strip bars at evening... In all seriousness, regardless of the indisputable fact that, i do no longer think of that there is any information that shows that ballet makes men gay. i think of the bigger project is which you look to have the prefer to make him do ballet for 11 years. it particularly is one element making him a nicely rounded person, yet whether he's happy with doing ballet now (and that i tremendously doubt a 5 y old has the stones to withstand his dad and mom whether he did no longer) he would possibly no longer decide directly to proceed it each of how into intense college. My advice would be to have him do it for some years and then supply him the prospect to quit. because of the fact's probably that he will sense insecure relating to the dancing (grammar schoolers have little discretion approximately throwing "gay" around as an insult consistent with attributes unrelated to sexual determination) he in all risk will quit. enable the project relax till he's sixteen, then ask him returned. through now, he would very nicely decide directly to proceed for between right here motives: -he sees a destiny in dance -he realizes that particularly than making him gay, having a means that facilitates him to dangle out with a collection of girls in tights supplies him an benefit in the aggressive worldwide of highschool relationship.

sure. why not! its only an hour long class, so its really not that long. the only thing to consider is the age of the child, if their young and don't normally stay up that late or start to get tired by then than i would suggest trying to find another class for them to try. =)

Only if she's a teenager. Otherwise, I'd say no. By the time she gets home it will be time for bed and she may have a hard time settling down from all the exercise.

In my opinion that is too late for a child to be doing exercise but it really depends on your child, if he/she can handle activity like that at night.
