I can think of two reasons for your question ....you pick the answer that suits you.........

1) you missed the full extent of his atrocities and you are worried the Iraqi's might get this on right and see the future of their nation as possible?
2)The troops will be able to come home because Iraq will take full control of its nation and you won't have anything left to whine about.

Saddam's karma caught up to him. He is reaping what he has sown. But I still say Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11 and it was just a Bush vendetta.

This is the nature of that kind of culture apparently. They like to kill each other off. Funny thing is, they like to die too. Virgins and lots of $$$$ and stuff up there in heaven for the heck of it.
Killing SH is right on que. I just hope he doesn't get a bunch of virgins in the end.
Actually, I feel bad about it. It feels like the US has too much to do with it. Guys like hime should be kept and studied. A long life in a storid cell would be much more in keeping with what is proper punishment for his actions. Wake up everyday and face that reality. Pre Hell before real Hell ....and all those virgins!

SInce the Iraqi government sentenced him and is executing him, I would have to say it is for 100% punitive reasons by the Iraqi government for killing thousands of their citizens. The sentence itself is for killing 142 of them.
