Your using it. The INTERNET and all other methods of global communication. It has made our world a totally different place from that of only a few decades ago.

The telegraph.

It cut message times from Australia to London from weeks to hours, and from America from days to minutes. It shrank the world in a way unimaginable today (the internet, for example, shaved a few minutes off tasks - the telegraph redefined the tasks themselves).

It created the futures market, redefined the way businesses worked and in many ways shaped the way the modern world works. It spawned the first virtual dating services, blogs, news wires etc.

While now superceded by superior technology, it was the telegraph and not the phone, computer or internet that changed the modern world.

No race is superior, but this idea that Egyptians were Black is a ridiculous reach by people looking to find Black achievements. If they had been "Black" they would have depicted themselves that way. The individuals in Egyptian paintings and sculptures do not have features of sub-Saharan peoples. The people of modern Egypt look pretty much like the ancient Egyptians. Cleopatra wasn't Black. The few Blacks in Egyptian society were slaves. Egyptians were racists who looked down on Blacks.

I think the automobile will be seen as our greatest invention. It opened an entire world to our society, which had previously existed in small communities. Geologists will excavate to find the remains of this great creation in scrap heaps and junk yards throughout the country!

The Calculus by Newton and Liebinez was the greatest invention. It is the mathematics that allowed us to develop technologies that we now take for granted.

Science.
If the Egyptians had art, and the Romans had construction, Europe had banking, the East has manufacturing, America has science. Or it did. Now we're more about entertainment.

Clearly our greatest big project, similar to building the pyramids, was going to the Moon.

But the transistor was probably the most important invention. That or nuclear power.

The ability to transport ourselves like "beam me up Scottie" on Star Trek. To me if we could do that we would be so very advanced and just think, you wouldn't need to drive a car to work anymore, lol - just beam yourself over there. Would really help me, I could get up late and still make it to work on time!

The only problem would be if there was a power outage......
