I have to exchange my faucet handles but do not wish to shut the whole house down just to take the diverter to Lowes to match them up.

These are my three shower faucet handles. The middle is the diverter and I wish to take it out and take it to the store to buy all new ones for each faucet. I do not have shut off valves in the bathroom. I can only shut off water to the whole house.

I'm not just replacing the faucet handles. I'm replacing the entire handle assembly down to the cleat.

I assume that you're referring to the diverter that diverts water from the bathtub spigot to the shower head "spigot".
You want to take off the 2 faucet handles and replace them (and I guess maybe the diverter handle too?).
If that is correct, then yes, you shouldn't have any problem. When you're taking off the faucet handles, just be sure you don't open the valve and start water running/dripping. If you do start the water dripping, then use the handle (before you take it off) to shut off the drip.

Look under the sink, there are 2 valves that supply to that faucet...close both of them first. test the shut off valves by turning on the faucet...if no water comes out, it is OK to remove the diverter. If water comes out after shutting the 2 valves under the sink...shut off the water supply valve to the house. Anymore questions...e-mail me.

ultimate - it is one situation you extremely ought to get fastened. The provider valve (a million/4 turn type) is nice for servicing the bathroom valve. First - your important supply up faucet issue, you may certainly turn the water suppy off if any failures take place - so be beneficial relating to the full situation. 2nd - the foremost supply up faucet leaks from the low tension area out of the manage. If there exchange into no water interior the domicile - it might't even drip - they're designed like that. What blokie ought to have achieved is repack the stem with graphite yarn, and tighten the packing nut - so it might possibly no longer leak returned besides. now to the undertaking - leaking cistern valve - take off appropriate of cistern and become attentive to the full assembly - see in case you ought to purchase a replace, or in basic terms a collection of seals / plunger. turn off provider valve, flush bathroom to empty it, then take out the chop up pin off a ballcock arm, and extract the plunger. the seal is on the tip. in specific circumstances you get an entire plunger, in specific circumstances basically the seal to replace. replace each and every thing, open out splitpin returned, and turn on water returned - slowly to envision all is definitely, then - importantly - turn valve totally on. they do unlike being a million/2 and a million/2 as they are able to leak in this place. it is once you may no longer turn the provision off in any respect which you face issues - and get moist. You a minimum of have 2 valves interior the way. provider valves are great in case you ever might desire to break a grant at as quickly as, and in case you ever have not got any approach of combating a burst pipe - hammer it flat and curl up the tip. - straight forward to replace besides.
