After death our presence may be left in a photo or text but eventually everyone dies and forgets what they have learnt. I am not a pessimist or cynic of life, I just don't see the reason for future evolution if we all die and "forget".

The point is maybe through evolution we can find a way to delay death. We have to understand that it was evolution that made us a stronger species than those in the past. Our mental capacity is improving highly from era to era. Now, it is possible that we can discover means to continue living and remember everything.

I'm not sure that question even makes sense.
What the hell has the inevitability of death got to do with evolution?
If you want to qualify our intellectual, spiritual or emotional progress as evolution the no it is not forgotten.
As long as an uninterrupted society exists there knowledge will pass on from one generation to the next. How it is perceived and applied is a variable factor.
The very basis of physical evolution is the opposite of death. It is to adapt so that survival is more assured and more easily achieved. It is also effected by dietary structure.
When we became better hunters we had more access to protein which caused our brains to become larger which enabled us to become even better hunters and adapters to out environment.
That still does not mean the aim of evolution is immortality.
Especially since we already are immortal.
We are energy that moves into different forms and phases.
Death of the physical body is just crossing another threshold.
Something new waits for us on the other side of this existence.
Nothing to worry about.
Just try to enjoy yourself while you're hear.
Sounds a little preachy I know. . .but tough
that's how the cookie crumbles.

Evolution : A process in which something passes by degrees to a different stage (especially a more advanced or mature stage)

Something has given us a chance to experience things in life, that is a strong point. One of the major things in life is love, whether it be for another person, animal or thing. A gift for some, not for others.

Another point to think about is : How do you know if you forget what youve learnt after you have died? Unless you are dead and have past from this life........
And maybe some spirits remember and others choose to forget.....

:-)

There are certain things and stuff that is like implanted in a person, this is the Genome. Each time a generation passes and renews, a new set of genomes are created. Depending on external circumstances, internal occurances the genome is there and it is learning or adapting or changeing. My 19th generation back inlaws or blood relatives made it through a winter flu that was spreading across the entire world. Then my 15th generation back whatevers, survived another flu like virus that spread over all of China from Itally.
I nor any of my brothers or sisters have ever gotten a flu and rarely suffer from colds , maybe once a year, slight sniffles.
So the genome of Disease resistance that learned to how stay alive is a thing that I am rather happy that my dead relatives, who all had lives of experiances, dreams, love, laughter, tears, joy, etc., was not actually forgotten. It is remembered by me now.

I think you are asking the wrong question here. I think the real question should be what is the point in life. In my opinion its all pointless really. There is no reason for life it just is as it is because of some acident that happend. Religion is formed because people like to have a reason for things n cant cope with the fact that life has no meening. Evolution is just a natual process. Its just the univers carrying on and changing. Life adapts and carrys on. Still it has no meaning. Not everything in this world or universe needs a meaning. i wish people would stop spending time chasing the meanin n looking for reasons rather than just accepting that it is what it is because it is.

Evolution is not guided by reason. Nature is a fierce woman with a lack of mercy. This is the tetragrammaton of the Old Testament.

And, I'd like to inform you that you are INDEED being pessimistic. Not that it is a bad thing, just a need for balance in order.

Evolution is physical, and death is spiritual and physical. We only are given a limited time frame to spiritually evolve during this life. Other spiritual changes can occur after we die, but the lessons are more difficult to grasp without the tactical senses of our earthly existence.

For an individual who believes in reincarnation it would be a perk. As for the human species, I would hope that someday we could evolve into something better. However as far as in this lifetime, I personally hold out hope for the evolution of society into a more just and peaceful world.

That is honestly one of the greatest problems with society today. The theory of Evolution has told people they live to die. That is everything's purpose: to die. Death weeds out the less desireables until eventually you have a more adapted species. Evolution glorifies death. It is also perhaps the greatest lie ever presented to humanity. There have been numerous scientists to dispute the theory and even more books. I would like to challenge you to research the subject for yourself. Dr. Kent Hovind has some excellent resources. John MacArthur has also written a book entitled THE BATTLE FOR THE BEGINNING. You aren't a cynic at all. You see evolution for what it is and for what it was meant to do, to take away our humanity. Evolution makes people just like any other animal. Why then can people train animals and no other animal can train less intelligent animals to perform tasks for itself? Why does nearly every culture have some form of religion? Why is it man has the capacity to chose to either preserve or destroy the environment. These are not things that evolved. Man was created in God's image for a relationship with Him. As a result of man's sin, man was separated from God and God had to send his Son, the only one capable of paying our debt. "For the wages of sin is death." Jesus Christ, the son of God, both God and man, lived a sinless life and died to pay the penalty for our sins. On the third day He rose again and conquered death and Hell and by doing so made a way for us to accept eternal life and restore relationship with Him. People are born with an emptiness. A hole that was meant for God to fill. Some try to fill it with wealth, prestige, drugs, alcohol, friends, sex, power, the list goes on and on. And yet, they never seem satisfied. Jesus said, "I came to give you life and life more abundant." "If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord you will receive everlasting life." To get in on that relationship right now and to know that one day you'll see heaven, You must recognize you're a sinner and that only God can forgive you of your sins as a result of Christ's sacrifice. You must confess to Him and acknowledge Jesus as the Son of God that died for you. Third you surrender yourself to Him and make Him Lord of your life. The only way I know to do that is through prayer. There are no magical words that save you, only the recognition in your heart. I made that decision 11 years ago and it changed my life forever. I was a miserable person until I came to know Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I pray that you do the same today.

We all die and are forgotten. True. But it's what we leave behind us that lives on. If what we did in our lives is always forgotten, every hundred years, we'd have to re-invent the wheel, movable type, radio. Live life in such a way that something you do lives on after you are gone. 200 years from now, your grandchild's grandchild will be in school drawing up a family tree. Will you be on it?
