My brother had an iPod and used itunes on my computer. Now, I just got an ipod. How do I use itunes? Do we share itunes, or what? I like his music, so I wouldn't mind sharing, if possible. But if not, what do I do?

I thought I had to be registered to itunes? And, if I can share with him, can I share with people on other computers? This does not make sense to me.

yea, iTunes iS just a music player for a computer. You can take music off anyone's iTunes, just make sure your setting iS NOT on auto-sync. Make sure iT's on manual-add or w/e iTs called.

auto-sync puts all of that library's music onto your iPod right when you plug iT iN, iT deletes all of your songs iF the library iSn't the same as before.

You can share w/ your friends. Plug your iPod in w/ the manual add songs option, found by right clicking on your iPod when iT iS iN the iTunes window, and selecting"options" and you change iY, then you plug your iPod iNto your friend's computer, and iTunes will show up, and you drag the songs you want iNto your iPod.

If you like the songs in your brothers iTunes library then all you have to do is open iTunes then plug in your iPod, and get the music from his library, you dont have to be registered of anything like that. Your bro should be able to help you out with the syncing part if he has an iPod. Hope this helps, Brodster

you can use your bros itunes if you want an exact copy of his ipod, of course you can uncheck songs you dont want, and if you plug your ipod into someone elses itunes, songs that are already on your ipod will be erased and replaced with the new library
