I think that people who deny that global warming is a huge issue either work for oil companies or have some other reason to purposefully deny the scientific facts of the issue. Global warming is a HUGE problem. World peace and starving people are global problems, it's true, but let's face it: if the world continues to warm at the current rate, it won't be long before there are not many people left to fight or starve. It's not the 2 degrees of extra warmth that is really the problem; it's the effects of the increased temperature on ocean current patterns, the melting of the ice fields, and the resultant metamophosis of complete climates and ecosystems due to the mutant weather patterns that are dangerous.

People who argue that the earth's temperature changes in a cyclic pattern are right- it does change- but they are wrong that global warming is just part of that pattern. The whole problem is that the emissions we are putting into the atmosphere are causing the warming part of the cycle to go WAY out of balance. You don't have to do very much research to see what the effects of a rising sea level and increased ocean temperatures will have on global weather, ecological zones, and coastal communities. I'll say it again. Global warming is a huge problem. Those denying it must be profitting from pollution, or they are just foolish enough to believe the propaganda spewed forth from those that are.

many species will go extinct.the oceans will rise and take out many city's.the coastal areas will be under water.there will be famine.millions will die.theres nothing humans can do about it.its our fate.the developing countrys will use what they can for energy.they will pollute even worse then we do. the world will be a sewer. were fishing out the oceas, the animals are being exterminated. Its horrible. where the human race is going..we will die from cancer at an alarming rate.from the chemicals we ingest.the earth is doomed.the population will continue to double and double till theres trillions of people.were parasites. Hi. The world, as in Earth, will not be terribly concerned. Humans, on the other hand, have made a problem for ourselves and will be effected.

huge? No. i would put poverty, genocide, starvation, aids, cancer, iraq war, nuclear armed north korea, the trade deficit, secret CIA prisons, human rights violations, U.S. sponsered torture of prisoners in 3rd world countries, shrinkage of the middle class, out of conrolled health insurance premiums, and warrantless wiretaps to name a few things...as more important then a slight increase in the global climate with in the next 50 years.

Yeah, because people actually believe in it. Give it 10 years, we will be heading for the next ice age again. Like we were 20 years ago.
