...so with that said, the whole "relieve Saddam of his power" plan is now all said and done. Iraq has been liberated from the hands of Saddam, plus Saddam is dead before '07, meaning that the initial plan of the War in Iraq took all of some 3 or 4 years. It took about an entire term to get rid of Saddam Hussein; as far as I'm concerned, a congratulations is in order.

However, if it took that much time to do that, what else could have been done in that time? In that same time-table, could Osama bin Laden and/or his allies and accomplices have been brought to justice? In that same time-table, could Iran have been effectively disarmed? In that same time-table, could Korea have been, at the least, weakened via diplomatic practices or force?

Just a little end-of-the-year food for thought. Please, no flames, just answers. God Bless you and Happy New Year, from the Dark Angel.

I think the punishment for Saddam is deserved on his part. But I have to ask the same question, What else could have been done in that time? I think there has been more concentration put on the trial of Saddam and the whole war with Iraq. We should be putting more effort into catching Osama Bin Laden than what we are. Especially since he is the one behind 9/11. I also think not just the US, but other countries as well should be paying more attention to Iran. That one is going to be a major problem. North Korea could be a threat, but I still believe Iran is going to be the big one. I think alot of things have been neglected, due to the ongoing conflict in Iraq. Things in our own country. I know alot of people are not going to like this - but... I voted for Bush and I can honestly say if I had to do it over again - I wouldn't. We are pretty much stuck until he comes out of office. I just hope we are able to recover. But maybe since Saddam has been executed that will take some of the attention off of Iraq, and the focus will be on other deserving situations.

Happy New Year to all!!!

lack of life and homicide is in no way good or merely. Osama is in Saudi Arabia likely, and figuring out on on Korea is a ~undesirable idea~ seeing as how Kim Jung Il spends 80 5% of N. Korea's GDP on the protection stress, and has performed for decades.. it would want to easily be no Afghanistan.
