I have been married for 24 years and I have only received flowers one time when we were first dating. Now I just buy them for myself when I need a little cheering up.

Well, my Husband still buys me flowers after 10 years. Every other time we are out somewhere near the florist, he leaves me in the restaurant or the restroom and runs out to grab a couple of blooms.
Why don't you turn the tables anyway. Go get him some nice sunflowers or orchids(if you can find them) or gerberras. I think they make nice"guy" flowers. Nothing wrong with with that. Just don't overdo to the ribbon thing. He'll get the picture after that.

I used to do the bring flowers to work thing, but then I stopped because I knew that the husbands/boyfriends of her coworkers were getting an earful that night.

Yesterday. But! I have a flower seller just under my work. Remember, men are sometimes too "busy" to notice simple things which make women happy.
My suggestion, don't expect and get disappointed, mention you like to get flowers (ask for it of him!) and you will get them much more. We need education.

Right after Thanskgiving...
I like to surprise her every month or two....its kinda a nice way to let her know I appreciate how great a job she does with my son.
I sent her some in October on b-day, September on anniversary and right after turkey day for the heck of it.

About four times since she last considered what meant something to me or did what I liked, or did anything to show me she cares. Thank God I wised up. Now I save myself money.

i don't think i ever have. to her, flowers will die eventually. she collects flutes from different countries. so when we travel, i always have to get her one.
