yes.
frequently.
(and i do the same...to spread the good feelings of life)
when my daughter was little
(she just turned 17 two weeks ago)
we were at the genensee country village & museum.
and it was a warm & wonderful afternoon
of horses and strolling.
and as we sat on a knoll top
(waiting for our cool drinks to be brought to us)
we log-rolled down the hill
laughing and laughing...
and after we ate
a woman came up to me
smiling
and said that
it made her so happy
to see an adult being so carefree
and she said that it inspired her
to appreciate more
the wonderful
giddy world
of her own children
that reaffirmed several things for me...
--people are watching
--complimenting strangers enriches both parties
--your job, as teacher to your children, is 24/7
--listen to your children more...their ideas are like water to a parched soul
--if you're not laughing, you're not living
cheers, mate.

Yes. I often get compliments on my face, hair, makeup, and clothes from strangers. I think it's sweet when people take the time to tell you something nice about you (provided they're not perverted comments). Talk about a pick me up when the days not going too good!

Yes, a complete stranger has complimented me before. A security guard in a mall walked over to me and says "God bless you. I can tell you're strong. Hold on, one day you will be healed and won't need your wheelchair anymore. Keep the faith."

Yes and the only time it didn't really creep me out was when the man was complimenting me on my Grandma skills when i had the two younger ones at McDonald's and did NOT yell at them like other Moms an Grandmas seemed to be doing.

if i am in a close setting with some1, yes, i usually do compliment . if there is an elderly lady that looks like she could use 1, THATS the 1 compliment. it takes their mind off their troubles 4 only a second, but it makes them smile longer. feels good on both sides.

Yes, the father of another child at the daycare I used to take my daughter to started complimenting me on my smile; it was a little bit creepy, but he was single and everything, so....I'm not sure. Compliments tend to make me feel awkward, especially from strangers.....

Yes..sometimes strangers stop to compliment me on the street...It usually depends on what I wear or how I look.

Yes, at a restaurant. I have several children, and an elderly lady stopped at our table and complimented my wife and me on how well behaved the kids were, which really surprised me because I thought they were rowdy brats!

Once while waiting with a group of friends for a table in a crowded Mexican restaurant, a fella on his way out said to me as he passed behind me "I gotta tell you, you've got the best lookin' a** in the place."
I think he was pretty loaded though...

We stopped at a yard sale in a different town and a woman told me I had beautiful hair and eyes.
