I have searched the internet high and low for hours trying to find 256Mb DDR2 PC2-5100. I have seen that some computers dont work with mixed up ram so I need the certain stuff! I've been out in computer stores for about 2 hours and I can't see the stuff anywhere.
Can you tell me where I can find this certain RAM?

I've gone onto crucial and it told me my ram was ddr2 pc2-5100, strange! Nobody seems to have seen it before. Do you think I should search for more of this ram type or just load it with a 512mb ddr2 pc2-5300?

There is this organization, JEDEC, don't know what it stands for off the top of my head, but anyway they standardize all specs for RAM, so there are only certain speeds at which RAM is supposed to labeled. PC2-5100 is not one of them, hence crucial probably just had a typo. Look for PC2-5300 or 5400.

Are you sure you are looking for the right one. What type of motherboard or computer are you using. Did you try kingstons web site or tigerdirect or pcclub? Try these good luck.

5100??
Never heard of it.
Try http://www.crucial.com and their configurator.
Once you know the correct RAM, you can find it at several sites, including crucial.
