So theres this guy, that i dont want to say in love with, but i sure did care about him quite a bit.
and well after a few months of using me we broke up.
but he still hung around we would hang out, and even though in the back of my mind i knew he was using me i still cared about him and enjoyed hanging out.
well now my, no longer, best friend told me she'd rather have him than me in short.
im finally facing the fact i need him out of my life totally, which really hurts. but it needs to be done.
are there any tips of what to say *nicely* for him to stop im'ing me talking to me?

my best advice to you would be, hold your own, do not beat around the bush and be totally honest. tell him that he 's hurt you and you don't appreciate being used. it's not fun being hurt and eventually at some point he will experience the same feelings. be very point blank and straight forward with him. and with best friends like that you sure don't need enemies, it's friends like that who aren't really friends if they do stuff like that. in my opinion, you're better off without both of them

just tell him how you feel, i dont think the problem well be telling him to leave you alone, so much. i think that you, in some way, dont want to, because you do still care about him and in some way, you still want to be with him. i think you made a big step by admitting that hes using you, right in front of your face. just keep that in mind, that hes using you. and then tell him that you think it'll be better for the both of you if you both didnt talk. good luck!

Is you friend with him now? Sounds that way. I don't think he was using you, just not ready to be with one person. don't blame yourself, just realize that this wasn't a good match, learn from it, and move forward, so you don't miss out on an opportunity with a guy who is right for you. If a guy likes you, he won't tell you until he knows you are single, and over this dude. Free Yourself!

just tell him things arent working out for you and its time to move on. then do it. ignore his attempts to contact you and keep busy with activities in which you can meet new people.
