I'm probably supposed to say "the birth of my child" but it was hard to 'witness it" when I'm laying on the hospital bed pushing the baby out...can't see a darn thing! So I'll pass on that.
there are several moments in sports...but I guess it's hard to pick just one.....
I was so "blown away" by the sunset in the mountains outside of Albuquque once that I literally HAD TO pull my car to the side of the road and watch it go down and turn the sky purple...that was pretty amazing.....
you know, I was in Lake Placid when the American team beat the Soviet team in Olympic Hockey back in the 70's or early 80's........and maybe that was it...it was something none of us could believe...everyone was dancing around for ages.....
I also remember seeing this big buffalo slowly cross across my vision behind "Old Faithful" geyser as it erupted into the sky in Yellowstone National Park...maybe that was it...
I've watched the surfers off Sunset Beach in Oahu many times in December when the waves can be 20 feet tall..watching the power and beauty of those waves with "just a guy and a surfboard" against the wave...that was absolutely wonderful...
can I have a four-way tie?

This is going to sound weird to some people, but I think the most wonderful thing iv'e witnessed, is giving birth to my own child. In the delivery room, they have this huge mirror set up, right where you can look up and watch yourself give birth. At first, I couldn't watch because it seemed so gross, but then for some reason, I looked up and it didn't seem gross to me anymore. We both watched our child, enter this world and something so gross to some people, was beautiful to us.

The birth of my son. I was under sedation with my first child, a daughter, and missed the whole thing. So, I made sure I got no medication with my son, and it was such a delight to see that small creature a moment after he breathed and cried.

The birth of my oldest grandduaghter. Didn't get to see the second two cuz the 2nd was an emergency C-section and we went to the hospital we were supposed to for the third but my daughter and her hubby had to detour to a closer hospital so we missed it.
