First person Shooters are amazing but in my opinion hte best is Call of duty 2 for the PC. This game is amazing in graphics, sound and visual appearence of every character. You are in the midst of World War 2 as you try to eliminate the axis powers. You play from three different prespectives: Russian, British, and the Americans. In the Russian campaigns you are a private named Vasili. You have begun training, but training soon results in war. With the British you play Sergeant John Davis of the 7th Armoured Division. You play mostly in Tunisia and Egypt. There is a 2 mission level in the british campaign that puts you in the hands of John Walsh a tank commander. In the American campaigns you take control of Corporal Bill Taylor in the beggining of the D-Day landing in Normandy. As for your other question F.E.A.R didn't really scare me. I have played it in pitch dark and at midnight and I have never gotten the "creeps".

Gears of War. About the best out there right now.

Fear was a pretty scary game. Multiplayer is great.
