Children need to be both seen and heard in the right envoirment. There is a time and a place to educate and socially devlope children. They do provide an honest view to what adults do not see or want to ignore. Children are our the future that we all are responsible to prepare them for life.

Children should speak to their elders with respect at all times. Children should be seen and only heard when their words are spoken with complete respect for adults. And children should NEVER raise their voice to an adult.

Children should be seen and heard just as much as any adult should. I've met children who are smarter than many adults. Age is just a number. People are still people.

Children should be seen and not heard, or if they must be heard, then they should not be allowed to dominate the conversation as I have often observed them doing.

They are kids. Kids don't yet know the aproriate boundaries of what's socially okay and not okay. That's why the whole "seen but not heard" mantra used to be so en vogue. I teach my kids to be more quiet than they feel compelled to be and think carefully before speaking--at least in public. But generally speaking I love kids tremendously and many of the whacky things they say can be quite funny.

Both seen and heard! You would be surprised what you can learn!
I sometimes enjoy kids much more than adults as they are honest and refreshing

No, sometimes children have good ideas and can help an adult out. They are not naive and have a mind of their own contrary to popular belief.

Yes as long as they are not a tribe of wild monkeys when guests are visiting and that applies to adults too.
