Thats what I would think but there is a psychic that comes on the Montel Williams show and she said she (this may go for all psychics) can only see the future happenings of others not for their own selves. Its a gift that is supposed to help others not for personal gain. I don't know much about it and am not sure if I believe in it but I guess winning the lottery would be personal gain and against some type of moral code.

Ha! I don't think they can choose what they have premonitions about.

True story. One Friday night I dreamed I won the lottery. The next day I went to buy a ticket for the draw that night and picked the numbers I remembered from my dream. The last two numbers I couldn't remember so I made them up.

That night the numbers I remembered all came up...

The answer I have heard is that it would be unethical to benefit from their gift. The other reason is that they would be able to determine if they would be a lottery winner, but not the numbers themselves. Make of it what you will.
