menopause could happen at any age (before puberty, or after child bearing years) Most of the time menopause happens after you turn 40 or so

There have been women in their 20's that have gone through menopause or what is known as Premature Ovarian Failure.

But generally before 45 would be an early menopause. The most common ages for a women to go through the menopause are between 45 and 55, with the average age being 51. HTH : )

i mean, it depends. i started at 35 but i had had a total hysterectomy. naturally, not before 40 but a woman's body can start the process several years before that. it's called peri/pre menopause.
