I find it racist. Why are black people allowed to be upset when whites use the n-word but whites are not allowed to be upset when blacks use the c-word? Neither word is acceptable, and I don't see why someone would use either word.

You're right Lea. Both words are offensive, however let me break down both definitions of the word ***** & cracker.

***** = was given to slaves by slave owners because they could not read or write. Slaves were taken away from their family and homes to be enslaved, beaten, tourtured, raped, murdered, etc... If you call a black doctor a ***** he/she will become offended. Not because he/she lacks knowledge like a slave once did but because he/she is black like his ancestors in slavery. - We've lost alot of our history & culture from being separated and abused as slaves.

Cracker: a white substance that you eat. It is the color white and it is salty (some not). Now someone else could put another meaning to cracker... I am not a racist so I wouldn't know, but it can't be much more than what I wrote. So basically, the name cracker is just that... The word ***** is just not a name called it has a meaning behind it.

Take a look at some black history books where slaves were forced and piled on ships 200 at time. Maybe it will give you a better picture and some understanding. Besides that you should know who you're sharing this world with.

There are overdue nights shows, that permit a pair of words to be mentioned. Take grownup Swim for occasion, watch Boondocks, and no not The Boondock Saints. The comic strip coach has the "N" be conscious or "*****" used like it became a basic be conscious, however the different curse be conscious is censored. There are different shows overdue night that still censore the "N" be conscious yet produce different words used extremely. Its quite lots to the human beings who take care of the television courses, some cases you hear it some cases you do not. i think of its hilarous they say it on comic strip community, if mum and dad basically knew what the youngsters learn at night.

Maybe because whites earned the term cracker (whip-cracker) in history and bestowed the n-word on blacks as an insult.

Or maybe it's because it's a common word with a rather non-offensive meaning.

its because "******" was used as a word to opress the blacks during slave times... witch in all honesty to me doesn't seem bad with out the history since it means black. and as for cracker it was just a retaliation... which if i have ever seen hostility thats it... and then they go and yell about whites hurting blacks and blah blah blah PS im not white or black so dont be like YOU NAZI M-F'ER ! cause im not
