It's the foundation mixed with your regular skin tone. You friend has the wrong color of foundation for her skin tone, so it makes her look orange.I used my foundation on a friend who is totally white and it turned her orange, but she took it off right away instead of going to the mall with it on. And i absolutely hate it when that happens....

No, you are probably not orange if you are checking and see no foundation flaws. It is not only liquid cover up that gives you that because I use foundation and never am 2 toned. Maybe your friend wears bronzer or hasn't found the right color face creme. Some cheap make ups make you orange but like I said, have her get a lighter color and use an oval make up sponge to blend well. Wedges work also (sponge). I use the third web clipping down on my face.

Well...if ur friend is orange why don't you gently let her know this instead of posting it on Yahoo answers.
If you are orange, from your foundation, try changing foundtions. Girls with oily skin can actually turn their foundation orange, bc of the oils in their face, not the base itself.
Or if a girl has pale skin and she tries to use a base thats too dark w/ too much orange/warm tones it will turn out orange.
The best way to avoid a orange look is to avoid bases with obvious orange tones, go light on the bronzer, and be realistic with you foundation color. ( don't pick one too dark for you.) Also absorb excess oil!!

Well it could be the lighting, she's probably doing her makeup in a dimmer place, and doesn't really know that its orange in different light, makeup looks different in different light that's why you should always put your makeup on in lighting that you will mostly spend the most time in that day. or maybe she just doesn't have a shade of foundation that matches her skin, and she's probably not blending it in very good since there's a line, maybe you should mention it to her while using tact.
