due to years of doing gymnastics, i am guessing you reach a plateu, meaning you get bored of the thing because it doesn't interest you anymore. quiting is sometimes a bad thing or a good thing. but since you already answer your question with the compromise (really good in this day of age) of just practicing and not competing, it is up to you to decide what you should do. you shouldn't ask people in the internet for advice, especially if it is a decision about money, practice, ethical stuff, and your kind of questions of quiting. you should consult your family, friends, and coaches on what to do, you decide what you do, don't let any biases let you to deciding what you want, always compromise. to what ever your decision, good luck and God Bless

The only way you may want to stick with it, is if you see it taking you somewhere in the future. If you are good enough to compete at a high level or maybe want to go coach someday.

If not just do it to have fun and don't worry about competeing.

If you like it,keep doing it,but don't compete. You should enjoy everything you do and if something is taking the fun out of gymnastics, then remove whatever is taking the fun away. Your young, have fun while you can

Some people are very spoiled and when the going gets tough, they crumple and quit.

Other people just want to have fun, have no pressure and not compete.

We dont' know you so you have to choose which one you are.

I reckon you should quit but if you want to stay fit continue. But I defintley would if it isn't fun anymore.
