According to the weather service (obviously) with cloud cover you get higher temps, but is this solely due to the tropisphere or are there other atmospheric influences.
Or which is my main Q. Does the 0 temp in space have any influence?

The phenomenon to which you are referring is solely due to the clouds.

Cold is not energy, it is the absence of energy. The earth absorbs solar light energy all day, and releases it slowly as heat energy. If there is cloud cover, the energy can't escape so it stays warmer.

There is no temperature in space. heat energy exists ONLY inside matter. It needs a medium. Something has to be hot.

It is mainly due to the clouds acting as insulation. Heat is given off by the ground, but cannot escape into space, and is re-reflected back to the earth.
