That is your friends choices not yours.. You need to be an individual and think for yourself and if you want to hang out with other cliques then do so.. I honestly dont see a purpose for a clique you should be friends with everyone ..

Your friends probably want to stay in the safe zone instead of getting out and actually getting to know people that they think are horrible because they aren't in the right clique. In fact to hell with cliques they do nothing but cause trouble!
