Personally, I love the feel of warm laundry right out of the dryer. And finding a fresh pot of coffee in the breakroom. And M n Ms.

Shhh. Don't tell anyone this: Open windows when the heat is on in the house, particularly open bathroom windows (there's something about the fresh air/heat on combination that makes a bathroom smell really great).

Flowers on the table.

Just about every sunset between April and November.

Every sunrise - but particularly the super-pink kind.

A really stylish little cell phone that works well.

Potpourri tart burners with Buttercream or Splash of Rain in them.

Listening to my own selection of music after everyone else has gone to sleep.

Breakfast out.

Having everything all neat and organized.

Apparently and based on my recent behavior, five mini-MaryJane candies with my grocery shopping.

A sparkling clean stainless steel sink.

The first cup of coffee after its made.

I love a super windy day... doesn't matter if it's cold or warm, I just love to see the tree tops bending in the wind. I love the sound of the wind as it whistles through the window screens and around the house. And I love the way the gusts catch up my hair and blow it around my head. When I hear the wind blowing, I rush to open windows... at work, in the car, in the house, where ever.

I also love a stormy sky. I love the sky turns that stormy sea-flint color... and I love the ensuing storm.

Thunderhead clouds in the spring (goes with my love of storms)

Other small joys: The sound of violins in any genre of music... the more fiddlin', the better.

The color purple..

kittens

The sound of a hard rain on a day when I can sleep in

When the dark comes early on a winter day, and it's snowing outside, and I'm inside sipping herb tea, anticipating how beautiful the world will be all snow-covered the next day.

Tangible weather, music, and a peppermint-mocha latte, and I'm one happy gal.

The simplest thing to make me happy is the fact that whatever it is it came from the heart. A hand made gift from my child, my husband donating toys to those not as blessed this time around, or a card in the mail. I love traditions, knowledge, and things that can never hold a price tag.

Climbing into bed when I am really tired.
The smell and feel of clean sheets on my bed.
Smelling my youngest son's hair when I kiss him on the head.
The smell of coffee in the morning.
That fresh feeling that stays with you for a while after a shower.
Watching those rare moments when all three of my children are cuddled up on the couch together.
The smell of rain.
The quiet you can hear when snow falls.
The smell of almond oil.
Watching my husband act like a child when he plays with our kids.

Lots of small things can make me happy. For example: to play soccer with friends on sundays morning, to have a "chat" with my petdog when I get home after a hard day, to have an unexpected call from a friend I didn't see for a long time, etc.

Snugging under the covers on a cold, stormy winter night. A fire in the fireplace. A cat curled up on my lap, purring contentedly. A good song on the car radio. Any sunset. Any sunrise.
