i own a lexmark z615 printer and lately whenever i try to print something my carrier "slams" over to the left and my printer shuts down, and i get an error message that says "printing failure" printing cancelled, i checked all the basic things, made sure all my cables were connected properly, made sure there were no paper jams or anything. Anyone know what the problem might be? is it my printer or is it my computer? (hopefully i gave enough information)

Sounds most likely that your printer has had a brain fade.

You can try uninstalling the printer and all the drivers and try setting it up again from scratch but most likely you are up for a new printer (or taking it back if it is under warranty).

You probably have a bad motor controller. This is a typical problem in inkjet printers. You can try to take it to a service shop for an estimate. Cost is somewhere around $100+.

Inkjet printers are made to be throw-aways anymore.
