Or will his execution be an attempt to justify the Iraqi conflict? Or is his execution justification for the citizens to mark the end of an organized yet violent reign and the start of an unorganized yet promising future?

Honestly, I don't think the world will be better with or without Saddam. He was never really a threat outside his neighbouring countries (where's the evidence that he had or was going to make WMDs?), just domestically.

Will since Saddam has been in custody for about 3 years now, you tell me: Is the world a better place since he's been in custody?

As far as executing him is concerned: I think a much worse punishment would be to keep him in jail for the rest of his life. But that's just me.

Saddam needs to die to give closure to the millions in Iraq who lost friends or family to this sadistic tyrant.

If for no other reason than that.

I don't think it's going to have any effect on the conflict.

He is a nonplayer and has been since they pulled him out of the hole in the ground he was hiding in.

I think you're partially correct on both notes... I wish we could have had a public execution of Hitler....I think that would have given a lot of people closure that they didn't get. So, might as well... He was a big-time evil dictator, that did many evil things to his people.... I think they should get some kind of justice from it, even if it is his PUBLIC execution...

My answer (and just to let everyone know, I don't give sh!t about getting thumbs down): of course not. How will the world be a better place? That's so ignorant. They should just keep him jail for the rest of his life, death isn't the answer to everything.

On the other hand, the world WILL be a MUCH MUCH better place if I shot Bush right up the ***.

Yes. The world will be a better place once he is no longer in it.

He killed 500,000 people in cold-blood. The question answers itself, doesn't it?
