my drivers side mirror was broken off my 05 dodge magnum SE.
i just purchased a oem replacement today. the dealership was trying to charge me $90. he said it will take 1 1/2 hours. i thought that was kind of steep so...
my question is, do you think i would be able to install this myself?
any websites that can help me? my dad has a good amount of various tools i can use. any special ones?
if not, do i take it to a mechanic or body shop?
its a regular mirror with the electronic controls that can position it, its one simple connector..it is also not a heated mirror. Thanks.

you shouldn't have any problem installing your mirror yourself, just take your time and you might have to take the inner door panel off and then you will see how it comes off, usually 3, 10 mil. nuts hold them on, and the remote control handle will be held in place by some sort of clip and then it will come off.

The mirror replacements on mine came unpainted - so there had to be a color match. And with heated mirrors I would let them do the install so if they don't work you have some recourse.

My 20 year old daughter replaced hers on a Saturn - you should be able to as well. Look for any star-shaped "Torx" screws, you may need to purchase a special screw driver.
