It really depends on weather you are in a small town or a large metropolitan city. Like in most large cities, people in Spain are very open minded. Madrid and Barcelona are very cosmopolitan. Smaller cities and traditional towns are a bit more reserved and traditional. It's not that people would think it's wrong or not approve, just expect lots of stares.

You will find nowadays that Spain is really open to anything. Its seems like the old customs have went out the door, but there are some that still hold on to the old traditions.
